Capital City: A Minor, Minor League Town

After 41 years of AAA ball, Richmond has lost the RBraves. News coverage suggests we might get a AA team, instead. The RBraves' own site wouldn't come up; here's the TD. I am so annoyed at our feckless city leaders for letting this happen.

Good thing the Farmer's Market wasn't ripped up in the name of a "bigger, better, more convenient" stadium after all huh?

Middle Pond Town downsizes even more with Braves abandonment

"You bastards!" --all around.

Am I the only one inclined to blame this not on "leaders", but rather a certain single elected-at-large wannabe despot? One who fails to qualify as a leader because he has, of late, demonstrated no leader-like qualities?

Freaking WHAT???
You have got to be kidding!
What a disaster, and a heartbreak.
Stupidity in the name of progress, perhaps? Tragic.
