Tomatoes

Late this summer, I noticed that a tomato plant sprouted in my compost pile. A few nights ago I ate the first two grape tomatoes off the plant, and today I harvested two more. They are pretty orange, still, but I'm afraid a sudden frost will get them. I know, it was 68 yesterday, but still.

I haven't checked in the store, but I saw a story on the TV news that sait 'maters were running near $5 a pound. Cash in before prices fall.

I thought citrus prices would rocket because of all the hurricanes Florida endured, but the prices look okay to me. These things make me realize that I seldom look at the price of produce: I just buy what I need. I don't know how much oranges, or tomatoes, should cost.
