You see, I imagine the bottom picture is to the left of the larger building...that and it is the 50s in that photo.
Imagine the desolation of the Eastern Shore in the 50s.... a recently closed down Miltary Base, a time consuming car ferry to tote ya back n forth, probably quite the vacation getway.
